“This pic was taken at an MTV Europe charity football tournament in Amsterdam that involved some bands and ex pros from Holland and Portugal.
I was the Captain of a team that included Damon Albariño (singer from Blur) Whitfield Crane (singer from Ugly Kid Joe) and Portuguese legend Eusebio. We got to the final but unfortunately lost that one, but I was literally on fire… banging in the goals… Eusebio was annoyed with me though, as I scored more than he did…and of course I was HIS captain 🤣🤣🤣
I really enjoyed the event and all the bands got along and were cool to hang out with.
Also check out my City shirt that given to me by “Skip” Tony Book when I went to Maine Road with Ian to train with Paul Lake. The away shirt in classic red and black stripes (if the pic was in colour haha) was one of David “Rocky” Rocastle’s so very special.”
