"This pic was part of a legendary shoot that took place in Central Park, NYC with NME photographer Kevin Cummins. He's actually a good mate of mine from Manchester and we both started out in the late 70s music scene there... me as a musician and KC as a photographer. He's shot us quite a few times over the years plus he's also a massive Manchester City fan which also helped the bond with me!
The interview itself was with journalist James Brown who has also remained a friend of both Ian and I and even did the interviews/sleeve notes for the Sonic Temple reissue in 2019."
