“Here’s another item I sent to my mum back home in Manchester… I was deffo quite the mummy’s boy hahaha.
It’s not really surprising as my dad worked on building sites away from home throughout my growing up period, so I’d only see him weekends. My mum was always facinated by ‘showbiz’ and loved Hollywood musical movies and singers from the 1930s, 40s and 50s.
That meant when she got to see one of her boys have a dabble in the “business of show” she was genuinely interested in all that entailed so I did my best to send postcards and stuff from all around the world.
