“In my teens Record Mirror was an established UK music paper like NME and Sounds but in the 1980s changed format to glossy colour magazine that was more Smash Hits and pop orientated. It did look to have “serious” bands too and we made it on to the cover here in 1987 under the heading “Hottest Young Rock ‘n’ Roll Band in Britain... Shock”.
