“This is one of my favourite pics of me from back in the day and I actually have this print on my wall at home.
It was shot by legendary rock photographer Jim Marshall when he spent a week with us while we were on the road opening for Metallica in spring of 1989.
Me and Ian were sat at the little table on the tour bus drinking tea and Jim started snapping away with his tiny Leica camera. He was able to capture this casual moment as his whole trip was to just become part of the scenery. In fact, I don't even think he brought his camera out until about four days in.
