“On 29th November 1985 we returned for another live tv appearance on The Tube, performing ‘Revolution’ and ‘The Phoenix’.
There should have been another one as we were booked earlier in the year right after we finished ‘Love’, this time with Mark Brzezicki sitting in on drums as he’d played on the album. But sadly, the show got cancelled due to ‘industrial action’ by the TV engineers' union. For those of you from the UK that were kids in the 1970s (and sadly here even in the 80s) strikes were quite a regular occurrence as you’ll well know.
On a plus side, despite not getting to perform, we still we got to enjoy a couple of “big” nights in Newcastle where the show was filmed… so not a complete waste of time. All I can say is big up the Bigg Market (ask a Geordie mate haha)”
