"This pic is from the NME in February 1992 and was taken by my good friend and fellow blue Kevin Cummins when we were out on the road in Texas with writer Steven Wells… having it large and blowing the NME budget haha.
It’s all a bit hazy but from memory that’s the morning after the night before in Houston where I had fully enjoyed a stellar evening until the wee hours after an epic gig.
We were still playing arenas at that point and to this day Texas and The Cult have a ‘special relationship’. I’ve always loved the place and the people since we first played numbers club in Houston in 1984 …. not sure why… I just do.
All I can say about my tracksuit is “once a blue, always a blue” and they were very much in style in the early 90s and perfect tour bus wear.”
