“It’s funny how these days everything seems to be online including the whole history of televised music… if you search hard enough. But, back in the day the only way of keeping TV to watch again was to record it on video tape. Once you’d made the choice between VHS or Betamax you set your machine to record, and it was yours to keep and watch over and over again.
This lovely collection started with my mum taping my very first telly appearance on Top of the Pops with Theatre of Hate in 1982. Over the years I managed to get on the “old goggle box” more times than I care to remember. This lot of random VHS tapes came from various sources over that time and all ended up in my Mum’s attic!!”
