“This cutting from one of the UK music papers illustrates just how busy bands can get once you have had that ‘breakthrough’ first hit single. Just check out all those TV appearances before heading off to Japan for the first time… it was bonkers really…. but I loved every minute of it 😉
It’s important to point out that to me "Rain" was more of an achievement as a follow up song… getting into the top twenty too. When we were working on “Love” our producer, Steve Brown, could not stress enough that after the gift of “Sanctuary” we needed to have more singles lined up to avoid the one hit wonder trap.
Wise words from the man and ones that we heeded to good effect.
