“This poster for a run of shows at the House of Blues on Sunset Strip was designed by Shepard Fairey (of Obey fame) very early in his career and before he became really well known.
The whole plan was to do the residency in LA at the end of our 1999 US tour and get ourselves a record deal at the end of it, but we already managed to secure a new contract before the tour finished!!!
I remember initially we put a couple of shows on sale and to our complete horror they didn't sell that well at first. Who knows the reason but maybe because the band had been away for a while people were not sure why we were playing at the House of Blues?
Anyhow, we went out started the US tour and all of a sudden the House of Blues thing blew up and we just kept selling out night after night! Unfortunately we couldn't do seven consecutive nights because some other band already had shows booked so we had to work around that.
The shows themselves were good fun and everyone had a great time."
