"This grey T-shirt from my archives is early tour merch produced for Death Cult. These designs were done by Jamie Stewart very early in our existence... and the whole “point” was a (non) too subtle dig at the burgeoning “goth” movement ... you know all a bit Mickey Mouse ;-)
In retrospect maybe a bit rich coming from a band called "Death Cult" but also illustrates the way we were thinking at that time and obviously that led to the shortening/simplification of the name to "The Cult" in January 1984 on the Tube."
