“Here’s a couple of special items from my schooldays. The “Ronson on Tour” folder was produced for his UK fan club in 1974 and included press photos and other items. It was also used by Mick’s record company for the promotional press kit to support his album "Slaughter on Tenth Avenue".
I think the poster was also in it but can’t be 100% sure… what I can be sure of is that both were worthy of wall space in my bedroom as the drawing pin holes attest!
Obviously Mick’s guitar (which he first customised while in the Spiders From Mars) was iconic and for me to replicate it with my own “Woody” Gibson Les Paul was my little tribute. It’s obviously a superb sounding guitar too, so not all about the looks haha.”
